Senior Doubles Tennis runs on Tuesday nights throughout the year, weather permitting.

It is open to all adult members and costs €5. Price covers, refreshments, prizes for winners and use of lights. It is played in a round robin format and couples are randomly picked each night. It is great fun and caters for people of all abilities on the tennis courts. It is a great social night and you always feel the benefit after having  a bit of exercise. Starts at 7:30. No need to book, just come along.

During the year, there are other events which cater for the adult members. The turkey league is included in the Tuesday night tennis. This runs from October – December and prizes are given out at the Annual Christmas night out in December. The Christmas night out in December is usually for people who brave it out every Tuesday night. It is a chance to have a drink and a chat with people without planning your next ace.  Always a good night and part of the social scene attached to the tennis club. Club championships are held during the year and are open to all adult members. This is the more serious side of the sport, but again always enjoyable. Team tennis is held between May and June. This is great fun. Teams of four are randomly chosen and games are played over a series of nights. A barbeque is held at the end of this event. Coaching for adults is available on request. Margaret Drew is happy to discuss coaching with individuals and groups.
